April 25, 2025 · Amplify Decatur Music Festival · Avondale Estates, GA
The Core played Avon Theater in Avondale Estates for the first time as part of the Amplify Decatur Music Festival on April 25, 2025, marking the band's inaugural show in the city. The fifteen-song set drew from a well-traveled catalog of covers, opening with "Makes Sense to Me" (a debut for the band) and moving through material including "Travelin' Light" by J.J. Cale, "What Would You Say" and "Jimi Thing" by Dave Matthews Band, "Southbound" by The Allman Brothers Band, "Remedy" by The Black Crowes, and "Amber" by 311. Chris Queen and Rob Sumowski each played their 30th show with the band. Three songs appeared in the Core's rotation for the first time that night: "Makes Sense to Me", "#41", and "The Way" by Fastball. "Semprini" resurfaced after an eighteen-month absence since November 2023.
