Tribute: A Celebration of The Allman Brothers Band at Sun City Hilton Head

October 6, 2024 · Hilton Head, SC

Tribute: A Celebration of The Allman Brothers Band took the stage at Sun City Hilton Head on October 6, 2024, with Oliver Nichols, Rod Gunther, Grant Reynolds, Henry Davis, Mark Bishop, John Marsten, and Bill Taylor performing seventeen songs across the evening. The set drew deeply from the Allman Brothers catalog, opening with "Hot 'Lanta" and moving through "Blue Sky," "Midnight Rider," "Jessica," and "Whipping Post," alongside period covers like "Statesboro Blues," written by Blind Willie McTell, and "Don't Want You No More," from The Spencer Davis Group. This was the band's first return to the venue in just over three years, their last appearance having been in September 2021.
