The Core at Napoleon's
August 3, 2024 · Decatur, GA
The Core returned to Napoleon's in Decatur on August 3, 2024, for their seventh show at the venue and their tenth in the city. The twenty-song set moved through material drawn from the jam and rock canon they have made their own, opening with "Broken Hearted Savior" and moving through "Travelin' Light", "How Could You Want Him (When You Know You Could Have Me?)", "When It's Raining", and "What Would You Say" in the early stretch, then reaching deeper with "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed", "Possum", "Always on the Run", and "Chilly Water" as the night progressed. The band, featuring Josh Carson, Chris Queen, Bill Taylor, Kevin Leahy, Rob Sumowski, Bo Hembree, and David Fisch, had not played this room since February 2024.
