The Core at The Society Garden
March 23, 2024 · Macon, GA
The Core returned to The Society Garden in Macon after nineteen months away, marking their second visit to the venue. The 21-song set drew heavily from jamband and rock repertoire, opening with "Take the Time" and ranging across Dave Matthews Band's "Jimi Thing" and "What Would You Say," Phish's "Possum" and "Free," Widespread Panic's "Pleas" and "Chilly Water," and The Allman Brothers Band's "Southbound" and "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed." Five songs debuted that night: "What Would You Say," "But Anyway," "Where It's At," "How Could You Want Him (When You Know You Could Have Me?)," and "Free," each marked as a first-time performance by the band. The set closed with "In a Daydream" and represented the 25th show in the band's documented catalog.
