Tribute: A Celebration of The Allman Brothers Band at Northside Tavern

November 11, 2023 · Atlanta, GA

Tribute: A Celebration of The Allman Brothers Band took the stage at Northside Tavern in Atlanta on November 11, 2023, with Oliver Nichols, Rod Gunther, Grant Reynolds, Henry Davis, Mark Bishop, Brad Berry, John Marsten, and Bill Taylor delivering a 30-song set rooted in the Allman Brothers catalog and the blues traditions that shaped it. The night ranged from deep album tracks like "Come and Go Blues" and "Don't Keep Me Wonderin'" through standards such as "Statesboro Blues" (written by Blind Willie McTell), "Stormy Monday" (T-Bone Walker), and "One Way Out" (Sonny Boy Williamson), arriving at the anthems "Midnight Rider," "Jessica," "Ramblin' Man," and "Whipping Post." The band returned to the Northside just one day after their previous appearance there, sustaining the momentum of a venue relationship that has clearly become central to their touring.
