The Core made their debut at Southern Brewing in Athens on August 26, 2022, marking the band's first show in the city. The set spanned fourteen songs, all covers, beginning with "Trilogy" and touching down on material from across jam and rock traditions: Widespread Panic's "Pleas", The Allman Brothers Band's "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" and "Soulshine", Neil Young & Crazy Horse's "Cortez the Killer", Phish's "Possum", and J.J. Cale's "Travelin' Light", among others. Every song on the night was played for the first time by the band, and David Fisch made his debut appearance with the group.
