The Bitteroots at Coach's Corner
August 20, 2021 · Savannah, GA
The Bitteroots played their first show in Savannah on August 20, 2021, at Coach's Corner, marking both their debut at the venue and in the city. The band opened a 31-song set with originals "Let's Go" and "Memo," then wove together their own compositions and covers drawn from soul, rock, and country traditions, including Stevie Wonder's "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours," The Rolling Stones' "Honky Tonk Women" and "Gimme Shelter," and Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." Two songs returned after 17 months away: "Rebel Yell" and "Temptation," both last played in March 2020. Laura Dees appeared for her 180th show with the band.
