The Bitteroots at Hifi Clyde's
February 22, 2020 · Chattanooga, TN
The Bitteroots played Hifi Clyde's in Chattanooga on February 22, 2020, for their fifth show in the city and their return to the venue after three months away. The 36-song set drew from their own originals alongside a wide span of covers, opening with "No Demands" and moving through "Midnight Rider," "Let's Go," "Rebel Yell," and "October" before bringing "Valerie" to the stage for the first time. The night marked the debut of "Time to Spare" and "Just What I Needed," while "Desperate" reached its 125th performance with the band. "I Fought the Law," unplayed since May 2017, resurfaced as the set wound through "Hard to Handle," "Billie Jean," "Under My Thumb," and "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" toward "Superstition" and a closing "Whipping Post." Derron Nuhfer played his 110th show with the band.
