The Bitteroots at Amici
February 1, 2020 · Milledgeville, GA
The Bitteroots returned to Amici in Milledgeville for their third show at the venue, six months after their last visit in July 2019. The set of 33 songs drew from the band's originals and a broad range of covers, including "Midnight Rider" from the Allman Brothers Band, "Rebel Yell" from Billy Idol, "Born to Run" from Bruce Springsteen, and blues and soul standards like "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder and "Hard to Handle" by Otis Redding. Laura Dees marked her 170th show with the band on this February 2020 night, which also saw "Cocaine" played for the 25th time in the band's history.
