The Bitteroots at Gypsy Rose
January 25, 2020 · Roswell, GA
The Bitteroots played their first show at the Gypsy Rose in Roswell on January 25, 2020, opening with "Midnight Rider" and running through a thirty-one-song set that mixed their originals with covers spanning rock, soul, and country. The night marked Bill Taylor's 180th show with the band and PJ Poellnitz's 30th appearance with them. Standout moments included the 75th performance of "Let's Go" and the 50th time playing "Jolene", drawing from a repertoire that ranged from Led Zeppelin's "Ramble On" and The Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter" to Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" and Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run", closing out with The Allman Brothers Band's "Whipping Post".
