The Bitteroots at Hifi Clyde's
July 12, 2019 · Chattanooga, TN
The Bitteroots returned to Hifi Clyde's on July 12, 2019, their first appearance at the Chattanooga venue in four months. The thirty-song set mixed original material with covers spanning southern rock, soul, and classic rock, including "Midnight Rider" and "Whipping Post" by the Allman Brothers Band, "Ramble On" by Led Zeppelin, and renditions of "Jolene", "Gimme Shelter", and "Hard to Handle". Bill Taylor marked his 170th show with the band, while PJ Poellnitz reached his 20th. The night brought "Honky Tonk Women" to the setlist for the first time, and marked significant returns for "Gravity", unplayed since May 2013, and "Beast of Burden", last performed in November 2016.
