The Bitteroots at Decatur Square
June 18, 2016 · Amplify Decatur Music Festival · Decatur, GA
The Bitteroots opened the Amplify Decatur Music Festival on June 18, 2016, at Decatur Square, marking their first return to the venue in nearly four years after playing there in September 2012. The seven-song set drew on material both original and familiar, moving through "This Town," "Let's Go," "Desperate," "Try Me Again," and "Other Door" before stepping into Neil Young & Crazy Horse's "Cortez the Killer" and closing with "Sinnin'." Wayne Healy joined the band for the performance, which preceded sets from Eliot Bronson, Penny & Sparrow, Kristen Englenz, The Dammages, Magic Birds, and co-headliners Milk Carton Kids and Elephant Revival.
