The Bitteroots at The Loft
October 10, 2015 · Columbus, GA
The Bitteroots played their first show in Columbus, Georgia on October 10, 2015, at The Loft, a maiden voyage to both the city and venue. The 33-song set drew from a deep well of American music, moving through "Cissy Strut" and originals like "Memo," "Defenseless," and "This Town," then into covers spanning soul, rock, and blues: Adele's "Rolling in the Deep," Stevie Wonder's "I Wish," The Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter," Neil Young's "Cortez the Killer," and Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run," among many others. Kyle Bryant marked his 50th show with the band, while Bill Taylor appeared for his 110th outing with them.
