The Bitteroots at Buffington's
January 24, 2015 · Milledgeville, GA
The Bitteroots reached their 100th show on this January night in Milledgeville, marking a milestone at Buffington's nearly four months after their previous visit there. Mike Davis, Laura Dees, Derron Nuhfer, Kyle Bryant, Tate Hollifield, and Bill Taylor drew on a deep catalog spanning originals and covers: they opened with "Cissy Strut", worked through "Angel From Montgomery" and "Hang Loose", and brought back "Hard to Handle", unplayed since June 2009, alongside "Three More Days", dormant since May 2010. The thirty-song set wove their own compositions including "Clearly", "October", "Memo", "Rush Me", and "French Fries" between material by The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin, and others, closing with "French Fries".
