The Bitteroots at Big Tex Cantina
March 29, 2014 · Decatur, GA
The Bitteroots returned to Big Tex Cantina in Decatur for their third show at the venue, just thirteen days after their previous appearance there. The band of Mike Davis, Laura Dees, Derron Nuhfer, Kyle Bryant, Andy Rogers, and Bill Taylor played a 31-song set that drew from their own catalog and a wide range of sources, opening with "Gimme Shelter" and working through originals like "Crazy Wicked", "Memo", and "Defenseless" alongside covers including "White Room" by Cream, "Whipping Post" by the Allman Brothers Band, and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by the Beatles. The show marked the band's 80th performance overall and the debut of "White Room" in their live repertoire.
